I still remember the morning of my own 2nd year result. My cousin and I were sitting on the charpoy outside his house, both of us refreshing the same page on our phones, and the page just would not load. Someone in the street shouted that the result was out, someone else said it would come at 11, and my mother kept asking every five minutes whether I had seen it yet. That is pretty much how result day feels for every 12th class student in Punjab. The wait is worse than the exams.
If you are in that same boat right now, here is the good news: the 12th class result 2026 Punjab boards check online is done and dusted. All nine Punjab boards announced the HSSC Part-II (2nd year) result together on 23 September 2026 at 10:00 AM. You can check yours right now by roll number, by SMS, or by name in the gazette. This guide walks you through all three ways, tells you what the numbers actually mean, and covers what to do next — whether you passed with flying colours, ended up with a supply, or think a paper deserves a second look.
The Result Is Out — Here Is What Happened on 23 September
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen had fixed one common date for all nine boards, and this year they actually stuck to it. BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and D.G. Khan all published their 12th class results at 10 in the morning on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
The position holders were named a day earlier, on 22 September, which is the usual pattern. In Lahore, Mubashira Waseem of Government Degree College for Women, Islampura, and Syed Muhammad Mohiuddin of Government College University Lahore shared the overall first position with 1,158 marks each. Muhammad Ahmad Shoukat and Muhammad Zunair Amjad took the second position with 1,157 marks, and Ayesha Bakhsh stood third with 1,156 marks. Those names come from the board’s announcement as reported by Dawn and Daily Pakistan on the day.
For BISE Lahore alone, the board’s own gazette figures, as reported by Daily Pakistan, show 192,950 candidates registered, 189,373 who actually sat the exams, and 123,060 who passed — an overall pass percentage of 64.98%. Girls did noticeably better than boys in Lahore, with a pass ratio of around 74.96% among female candidates, and the Pre-Medical group had the highest pass rate of any major group — girls in Pre-Medical passed at 83.28%. Last year, for comparison, Lahore’s 12th class result came out on 18 September 2025 with a pass percentage of 60.86%, so this year’s result was a little kinder.
One honest note before we go further: the result you see on the screen is provisional. It is the real result, but the printed result card your college gives you later is the document that counts for admissions. So check online now, celebrate or plan, but keep the card safe when it arrives.
12th Class Result 2026 Punjab Boards Check Online by Roll Number

This is the fastest way, and it is the one most students use. You need your roll number — the six-digit number from your roll number slip. If you have lost the slip, your college office can give you the number, or you can find it on the board’s website.
- Open your board’s official result portal. For Lahore, that is result.biselahore.com. The main board site is biselahore.com.
- Select your exam type — HSSC Part-II (Annual) 2026, or Intermediate Part 2, depending on how your board labels it.
- Type your roll number in the box. Double-check it. One wrong digit and you will either get someone else’s result or an error, and on result morning that mistake can cost you twenty minutes of panic.
- Click search or submit. Your name, marks in each subject, total and status (pass, fail, or supply) will appear.
- Take a screenshot and, if you can, print the page or save it as a PDF. It is not the official card, but it is handy for admission forms until the card arrives.
My own tip from experience: if the page hangs, do not keep hammering the refresh button every two seconds. That is exactly what crashes these portals. Wait a minute, try again, and if it still will not load, switch to the SMS method below. The portal is usually fine by the afternoon, and it works smoothly the next day.
How to Check the Result by SMS
When the website is jammed — and on result morning it usually is — SMS is the old reliable backup. It works on any phone, even a basic one, and you do not need the internet.
For BISE Lahore, type your roll number only in a text message and send it to 800291. That is 800291, six digits, not 80029. The shorter number is a mistake that has been copied all over the internet for years, and it returns nothing. I have seen students send their roll number to 80029, wait an hour, and then panic for no reason. Use 800291.
You will get a reply with your marks and result status. The reply can take a few minutes when the network is busy. Normal SMS charges apply, and it works from Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone.
The other Punjab boards each have their own SMS code. The codes below are the ones widely reported for 2026, but I could not verify every single one on its board’s own website, so if a message to one of them fails, check your board’s official site before trying again:
| Board | SMS Code |
|---|---|
| BISE Lahore | 800291 |
| BISE Gujranwala | 800299 |
| BISE Rawalpindi | 800296 |
| BISE Faisalabad | 800240 |
| BISE Multan | 800293 |
| BISE Sargodha | 800290 |
| BISE Sahiwal | 800292 |
| BISE Bahawalpur | 800298 |
| BISE D.G. Khan | 800295 |
Only Lahore’s 800291 is confirmed beyond doubt — it is the code the board’s own result pages and the 2026 coverage consistently use, and it is the code we verified for the 10th class result and 11th class result as well. For the rest, treat the table as a starting point, not gospel. Our detailed guide on how to check matric result by SMS in Pakistan explains the same method step by step, and most of it applies word for word to inter results too.
How to Check by Name or in the Gazette
Maybe you have lost your roll number entirely. It happens more often than people admit — slips get washed in a pocket, or the college has not handed them back. You still have two options.
First, some board portals let you search by name. On the Lahore portal you can select the “search by name” option, type your full name as it appears on your registration, and pick your result from the list. It works, but if your name is a common one — and in Punjab, plenty are — you will have to scroll through a lot of Muhammad Ahmeds to find yourself. Use your father’s name or your college name to narrow it down if the portal offers those filters.
Second, the gazette. Every board publishes a result gazette as a PDF, usually within an hour or two of the announcement. It lists every candidate by roll number, so you can search the PDF for your name or your college. The gazette is a big file and it is slow to download on a weak connection, but it is also the most complete record there is. You can find it on your board’s website under the results section — for Lahore, look on biselahore.com. If you are checking a younger sibling’s result too, our 9th class result 2026 Punjab boards guide covers the same gazette method for matric.
All Nine Punjab Boards — Where to Check
Your result lives only on your own board’s website. Checking the Lahore portal with a Gujranwala roll number will get you nothing, and that trips up students every year, especially those who moved cities between matric and inter.
Here are the nine boards, the districts they cover, and their official websites:
| Board | Districts Covered | Official Website |
|---|---|---|
| BISE Lahore | Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib | biselahore.com |
| BISE Gujranwala | Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin | bisegrw.edu.pk |
| BISE Faisalabad | Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot | bisefsd.edu.pk |
| BISE Rawalpindi | Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum | biserwp.edu.pk |
| BISE Multan | Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Vehari | bisemultan.edu.pk |
| BISE Sargodha | Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar | bisesargodha.edu.pk |
| BISE Sahiwal | Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan | bisesahiwal.edu.pk |
| BISE Bahawalpur | Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan | bisebwp.edu.pk |
| BISE D.G. Khan | Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Rajanpur | bisedgkhan.edu.pk |
All nine announced on the same day and time, so if your friend from another board got their result, yours is out too. If your board’s site is slow, try again in an hour rather than trusting a random third-party result site. Those sites copy the data anyway, and some of them show last year’s dates.
Understanding Your Result — Pass, Supply and What the Numbers Mean
You need at least 33% marks in each subject to pass it. That is the rule that applied to the 2026 HSSC Part-II exams. If you passed everything, your result will show your total marks and your grade. If you failed one or two subjects, your status will show as supply (compartment) in those subjects, which means you can retake just those papers in the supplementary exams instead of repeating the whole year.
Here is the part students get wrong most often: a supply in one subject does not mean your year is wasted. The supplementary exams — officially called the Intermediate 2nd Annual Examination — started on 3 November 2026 across all nine Punjab boards. Part-II theory papers ran from 3 to 16 November, with practicals in early December. If you missed that window, speak to your college and your board office about the next annual exams rather than paying anyone who promises a shortcut. No agent can get you a seat after registration closes.
Also, do not compare your total with a friend from a different group and conclude you did badly. Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS, I.Com, General Science and Humanities are marked on different combinations of papers, so the totals are not directly comparable. The board itself awards positions separately by group for exactly this reason.
One more thing worth saying plainly: if your marks are lower than you expected, do not decide on the spot that the board made a mistake — and do not decide on the spot that you are finished either. Read the rechecking section below, then talk to a teacher who knows your work. Teachers see hundreds of results every year and they can usually tell in five minutes whether a recheck is worth the money.
What to Do After the Result

Passed? Then the clock starts. Admissions for BS programmes, medical colleges and universities were already moving by the time this result came out, and many close within weeks. If you are aiming for a BS degree, our guide to BS admission 2026 in Pakistan explains the process, and if you sat the medical entry test, the MDCAT 2026 result check online guide covers that side of things. Keep your documents ready — result card, matric certificate, CNIC or B-Form, photographs — because admission offices ask for the same set everywhere, and students lose seats every year simply because a document was sitting at home.
Got a supply? Register for the supplementary exams through your college or as a private candidate on your board’s portal. The fee windows for the 2026 second annual exams closed in October, so if you are reading this after that, your route is the next annual examination — confirm the dates on your board’s website rather than trusting a WhatsApp forward.
Thinking of improving your marks? Students who passed but are unhappy with their total sometimes choose to reappear in selected subjects to improve their division. It is allowed, but it is a real decision with real costs — a year of your life and another round of exam fees — so talk it over with your parents and a teacher before filing anything.
And whatever your result, one practical job: collect your original result card from your college when the board issues it. The online printout is fine for checking, but universities and employers want the card. BISE Lahore even has an online system to download result cards for both regular and private candidates, listed on its homepage.
Rechecking Your Papers — Dates, Fee and How to Apply
If you genuinely believe a paper was marked wrong — a total that does not add up, a question you answered well that got almost nothing — you can apply for rechecking. This is not a re-marking of your paper from scratch. Rechecking means the board verifies that every question was marked, the marks were added up correctly, and nothing was missed. It is a narrower review than most students expect, so go in with realistic hopes.
For BISE Lahore’s 12th class rechecking in 2026, the schedule reported from the board’s announcement was:
- Applications opened: 24 September 2026
- Last date to apply: 8 October 2026
- Fee: Rs 1,300 per subject
The fee works out as Rs 1,200 per subject plus a Rs 100 processing charge, which is why some places quote it differently — the total is the same Rs 1,300. Applications were made online through the board’s rechecking portal (for Lahore, hsscrechecking.biselahore.com, which is linked from the board’s homepage), and you can look up your rechecking date and time on the same portal — the board’s homepage lists it as “Get Rechecking Date & Time”.
That window has now closed, so if you are reading this after 8 October, you cannot apply for the 2026 first annual rechecking any more. The 11th class result, which came out on 22 October 2026, has its own separate 15-day rechecking window, so do not mix the two up. For other boards, the fee and dates can differ slightly — Multan, for example, has quoted Rs 1,300 as well — so always confirm on your own board’s website before paying anything.
Common Mistakes Students Make on Result Day
I have watched students make the same handful of mistakes every single year, and most of them are easy to avoid.
The first is trusting the wrong SMS code. I said it above and I will say it again: Lahore is 800291, not 80029. The wrong code has been repeated on so many websites that it feels true, but it does not work.
The second is paying a random website or a “result agent” to check the result for you. The official portals are free. Nobody needs your roll number and a fee to look it up, and handing your details to a stranger is a bad idea for reasons that should be obvious.
The third is believing the first screenshot that lands in a class WhatsApp group. Every year, edited screenshots of fake results circulate within an hour of the announcement. Check your own result on the official portal and ignore everyone else’s until you have done that.
The fourth is making a big life decision in the hour after seeing the result. I know a student who announced he was quitting studies altogether because of two supplies, and then retook both papers in November and passed both. Give yourself a day. Talk to someone who has been through it. The result is a fact, but what it means for your future is still up to you.
The fifth is forgetting the result card. The online result is provisional. Admissions, attestation and verification all need the printed card. Collect it, keep it in a file with your matric documents, and take a clear photo of it as a backup.

How can I check my 12th class result 2026 by roll number?
Open your board’s official result portal — for Lahore, result.biselahore.com — select HSSC Part-II Annual 2026, enter your six-digit roll number and submit. Your subject-wise marks and status will appear on screen.
What is the SMS code for the BISE Lahore 12th class result?

What should I do if I have a supply in one subject?
You can appear in the supplementary exams (Intermediate 2nd Annual Examination) for that subject only. The 2026 supplementary exams started on 3 November 2026. If you missed registration, ask your college or board office about appearing in the next annual exams.
Can I check my result by name if I lost my roll number?
Yes, on some board portals you can search by name, and you can also download the result gazette PDF from your board’s website and search it for your name or college. Your college office can also give you your roll number.
Is the online result the final official result?
No. The online result is provisional and meant for immediate checking. The printed result card issued by the board is the official document you need for admissions and verification.
Verification Note
I checked the following facts on 8 November 2026. The result date and time — 23 September 2026 at 10:00 AM for all nine Punjab boards — are confirmed by multiple independent outlets including Dawn (23 September 2026) and Daily Pakistan (24 September 2026), and the result is live on the official portals. I opened biselahore.com directly on 8 November 2026 and confirmed the board’s homepage lists the 12th class rechecking portal (hsscrechecking.biselahore.com), the intermediate result card download systems, and the supplementary exam admissions — the board’s own site is live and current. The BISE Lahore statistics (192,950 registered, 189,373 appeared, 123,060 passed, 64.98%) come from the board’s official gazette as reported by Daily Pakistan on 24 September 2026. One other source reported slightly different figures (189,638 appeared, 123,097 passed, 64.9%), so treat the exact candidate counts as approximate and the 64.98% figure as the gazette-based one. The position holders’ names and marks are as reported by Dawn on 23 September 2026; note that spellings of the toppers’ names vary slightly between outlets (for example “Mubashira Waseem” versus “Mubashra”). The rechecking window (24 September to 8 October 2026) and the Rs 1,300 per-subject fee were reported by several outlets citing the board’s schedule; I could not read the fee figure on biselahore.com itself, because the board’s homepage does not display the fee and the rechecking form sits behind the portal, so I have presented the fee as reported rather than as directly confirmed on the board’s site. The Rs 1,200 plus Rs 100 processing breakdown was read from the page code of the board’s own rechecking form (rechecking.biselahore.com) on 24 October 2026, as reported by pakera.pk. The statement that Multan also charges Rs 1,300 comes from a secondary source that read the board’s 2026 fee list on 18 October 2026; I did not read that figure on bisemultan.edu.pk itself, so confirm it on Multan’s own site before paying. The SMS code 800291 for BISE Lahore is confirmed by multiple 2026 sources and by our own earlier verification for the 10th and 11th class results. The SMS codes for the other eight boards are widely reported but I could not verify each one on its board’s official website, so they are given with that warning in the article. The supplementary exam dates (theory 3–16 November 2026, practicals 1–10 December 2026) come from BISE Gujranwala’s published date sheet as reported in November 2026; the expected supplementary result date of around January 2027 is only a reported estimate and has not been confirmed by any board. I did not state a total-marks figure for HSSC because sources disagree (some say 1100, others 1200), and I did not state a province-wide pass percentage because no single official figure for all nine boards has been published.
